About Joseph

I am a self taught photographer from Masterton, New Zealand. In 2021 I purchased my first camera and quickly began creating images. I find long exposure images an amazing way of showcasing new perspectives of places we may already familiar with.

Shortly after beginning my photography journey I was drawn to photographing the New Zealand space industry, particularly Rocket launches on New Zealand's East Coast, Mahia.

I slowly worked my way up from photography on the beach to be on the launch pad in June 2022 with the Rocketlab launched, CAPSTONE mission to the moon. This mission for NASA launched a 25 kilogram microwave sized satellite to the Moon. The photo on this page is of me at the launch of the CAPSTONE mission. I continue to photograph rockets whenever I get the opportunity.

When I am not chasing rockets I am photographing other scenes. Sometimes landscapes and sometimes the night sky.
